What does it take to
Run a Drive?
Five easy steps to running a voter registration drive in your high school.
1. Get Smart
Attend a virtual, one hour, Run-a-Drive Workshop. Learn how to form your team and start planning. It’s free!
2. Get Help
Ask an educator or administrator to be a faculty advisor for your drive. We provide them with a detailed planning guide so they can work with you and your school’s administration on logistics.
3. Get Swag
Request materials and get everything you need to run a successful drive. You’ll get your dedicated URL, QR Code and Democracy in a Box (with swag!).
4. Plan and Run your Event
Submit your Drive Action Plan at least two weeks before your drive. Use our social media templates to help spread the word. On drive day, remember to count registrations, take photos, and have fun!
5. Report Back
Upload your photos & videos in your post-drive report. We’ll tally up your registrations so you can show your impact with one of our “Drive Success” social media templates.
Get credit! The Civics Center will provide community service certificates.
