The simplest way to increase preregistration among teens is to equip high school students across America to run voter registration drives in their schools twice a year, every year.

What does it take to run a drive?

Six easy steps to running a voter registration drive in your high school.


1. Get Smart

Attend a virtual, one hour, Run-a-Drive Workshop and learn how to form your team and create a Drive Action Plan. It’s free!

2. Get Help

Ask an educator or administrator to be a faculty advisor for your drive. Check out our state-by-state resources and FAQ for more resources and support.

3. Get Swag

Register Your Drive by submitting your Drive Action Plan at least two weeks before your drive. You’ll get your dedicated URL, QR Code and Democracy in a Box (with swag!).

4. Get the Word Out

We provide you with graphics and assets for you to post on Social Media and around campus. We also have email templates you can use to organize and promote your drive.

5. Brag about it

📷 Don’t forget to capture the moment! Upload your photos & videos in your post-drive report. We’ll tally up your registrations so you can show your impact with one of our “Drive Success” social media templates.

6. Get Credit

The Civics Center will compile and report on results and you will receive community service certificates.
